Post-Punk Monk This album was an astonishing trawl through the history of Soul music with some amazing side trips into Funk, Pop, and even Disco. It formed a new high in a career with no lows. The music's no-expense-spared vibe here leads me to question how albums this luscious and tactile can be made in the present crowdsource era. If the talent, will and passion are there, money is a secondary concern.
